Community principles
Discuss the experience without attacking the person
Different explanations are welcome. Ridicule, diagnosis and spiritual commands are not.
Follow the response preference
The storyteller chooses whether they want acknowledgment, similar experiences, sources and perspectives, or an open discussion.
Keep disagreement about ideas
- Do not mock, threaten or personally attack anyone.
- Do not diagnose a person or present medical claims as fact.
- Do not tell someone that a deity, spirit or authority commands them to act.
- Do not pressure someone to accept a religious, spiritual or skeptical conclusion.
Protect privacy
Do not post names, addresses, private messages, medical records or details that identify another person. A nickname changes what the public sees, but it is not a promise of complete anonymity.
Publication would mean a story passed privacy and conduct review. It would not mean the event was independently verified.
