Write carefully before sharing publicly

A nickname can limit what appears publicly. It cannot remove identifying details from a story.

Before writing

Leave out full names, addresses, workplaces and contact details.
Do not include another person’s medical records or private messages.
Consider whether a date, place or unusual event could identify someone.
Keep a separate copy if the draft matters to you. Browser storage can be cleared.

Future moderation

Moderation is intended to address privacy and conduct. It cannot promise that every harmful comment will be prevented or removed immediately.
